Roh, Bush Stress Implementation of Nuclear Deal

President Roh Moo-hyun and U.S. President George W. Bush have both stressed the need for the agreement reached at this week’s six-way nuclear talks to be effectively implemented.

Presidential spokesman Yoon Seung-yong said that the two leaders concurred on the subject during a telephone conversation on Wednesday.

During the ten-minute conversation, both Roh and Bush praised the efforts made by each other's countries in the nuclear negotiations, while sharing the view that the landmark nuclear deal marks the beginning of Pyongyang’s nuclear dismantlement.

The spokesman also said that the two leaders reconfirmed their commitment to the successful conclusion of the bilateral free trade talks currently under way in Washington.
