Energy Working Group Talks from Tues.

The six-party working group to discuss the provision of 950-thousand tons of heavy fuel oil aid to North Korea will open Tuesday at the inter-Korean truce village of Panmunjeom.

The aid is an incentive for Pyongyang's implementation of the next phase of nuclear dismantlement steps.

At the working group on economic and energy cooperation, the parties will discuss the aid package that will follow after North Korea disables its nuclear facilities and reports all related programs.

At the talks, the North will say what kind of aid it wants while South Korea, the U.S., China and Russia will talk about methods for providing the aid.

Host country South Korea will coordinate the parties' stances and draft a road map outlining each country's contribution to the energy package, including delivery methods and timing.
