GNP to Revise Rules on Lawmakers’ O’seas Trips
The ruling Grand National Party will seek to revise rules on lawmakers’ overseas diplomatic activities.
Legislators have been accused of using public funds for their personal benefit when on such business trips.
GNP Chairman Kang Jae-sup told party leaders Monday morning the diplomatic activities of lawmakers are important.
But he stressed the need to revise parliamentary rules on their official overseas visits, noting that some lawmakers bring family on such trips or use public funds on entertainment and touristic activities.
