IOC Sport, Education, Culture Forum Opens in Busan
The International Olympic Committee’s sixth World Forum on Sport, Education and Culture has opened in Busan.
The opening ceremony on Thursday afternoon will be attended by IOC First Vice President Lambis Nikolaou, Korean IOC athletes' commissioner Moon Dae-sung and 30 other IOC members. Also in attendance will be 600 Olympic committee members from some 150 countries.
Under the theme “Sport and Education for the Now Generation,” the three-day forum will hold presentations and discussions. It will conclude on Saturday with a closing ceremony.
On Friday, the forum participants will also take part in the opening ceremony of the fourth Busan Trim and Fitness International Sport for All Association (TAFISA) World Sport for All Games.
