Identification to Become Mandatory when Posting Online Comments
Internet users will have to identify themselves when leaving comments online from as early as next month.
The Korea Communications Commission said Friday that it issued an advance notice of a bill on introducing a limited personal identification system. The system is aimed at preventing the posting of malicious comments that are written under anonymity. The commission said the new measure may be implemented from as early as next month.
Under the system, Internet users must identify themselves with Internet Personal Identification Numbers when posting comments online.
