'Gov't was Not Prepared for Cyber Attacks'
A professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) says the nation is partly to blame for the latest cyber attacks.
Ahn Chul-soo, who is currently in the U.S., wrote on his Internet blog that the nation was not prepared for latest cyber terror attacks, and thus brought the disaster upon itself as an example to the world.
The anti-virus expert criticized the fact that there hasn't been any strong measures to counter the attacks, despite the fact that the nation suffered from the worst case of cyber terrorism since the Chernobyl Virus in 1999 and the January 25th attack in 2003.
Ahn said the recent attacks are specifically targeting countries and government organizations, adding that similar cases will become more frequent. He asked the government to strengthen the nation's security measures for cybers terrorism.
