BOK to Keep Aggregate Credit Limit at 10 Tln Won

The Bank of Korea has decided to maintain its aggregate credit limit at ten trillion won for the fourth quarter of this year.

Under the aggregate credit limit system, the central bank gives low-interest loans to commercial banks to promote lending to small- and medium-sized enterprises.

The current interest rate on the policy loans is one-and-a-quarter percent compounded annually.

The central bank raised the limit from six-and-a-half trillion won to nine trillion won in October last year and then to ten trillion in March this year.
