Roh Offers Condolences to Family of Ex-US Pres. Ford
President Roh Moo-hyun has conveyed his condolences to the widow of former U.S. President Gerald Ford, who died at age 93 on Tuesday.
Roh’s message said that the late president greatly contributed to world peace and stability especially for the Korean Peninsula.
He went on to say that South Koreans remembered Ford’s hard work in strengthening the South Korea-U.S. alliance.
Meanwhile, the government is considering sending an official delegation to pay tribute at the state funeral for Ford, taking into account standard protocol and Washington’s plan for the ceremony.
