UN Urges Laos to Free N. Korean Teens
The United Nations is working to dissuade Laos from sending three imprisoned teens back to North Korea.
Media reports said that U.N. officials have contacted the Laotian government through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Bangkok, Thailand.
The world body is expected to continue efforts this week to win the release of the young North Koreans, who fled their native country only to be incarcerated in the Southeast Asian country.
