GNP Head Meets with New Chinese Ambassador
Chairman Park Hee-tae of the ruling Grand National Party met with the new Chinese ambassador to Korea Cheng Yonghua Monday.
Park hoped the countries will engage in more exchanges, noting it has been 16 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations.
He also underscored the need for Korea, China and Japan to closely cooperate in overcoming the global financial crisis.
Park stressed the importance of China’s role in the cooperation, as it currently has the world’s largest foreign reserves.
