Rival Parties to Clash over Disputed Bills

Rival parties are expected to clash over disputed bills awaiting passage by the National Assembly.

The ruling Grand National Party will start by passing economy-related bills such as those on deregulation.

The party will also concentrate on disputed bills such as the designation of cyber contempt as a crime and abolishing the newspaper law.

The main opposition Democratic Party said it will continue to fight bills that it says divide public opinion, adding it will watch over the people.

The two parties are also expected to keep fighting over the ratification of the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement.
