The government will begin its projects to enhance the conditions of the nation’s four major rivers this month.

According to a business plan obtained by KBS on development projects for seven districts located near the four rivers, the government will earmark 48 billion won for the development of the Andong region in North Gyeongsang Province. Development for Andong, near the Nakdong River, is set to begin this month.

The document also confirmed that the government plans to use a total of 860 billion won to develop the seven areas surrounding the rivers.
