Auto Prices to Rise from July
Auto prices will rise as temporary tax rebates aimed at boosting the domestic auto industry expired on Wednesday.
Industry officials say prices of domestic cars will rise up to three-point-eight million won without the special automobile consumption tax breaks.
The price of Hyundai Motor's mid-sized Sonata sedan will be raised by 380-thousand won, while that of the top-class Equus model will be three-point-eight million won higher.
The price increase among imported cars will be much higher than that of domestic vehicles.
