'Japan to Cooperate for Resumption of Nuclear Talks'
Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirofumi Hirano says Japan will cooperate closely with concerned nations for the resumption of the six-party talks on the North Korean nuclear issue.
Responding to North Korean leader Kim Jong-il’s Monday remark on his willingness to join multilateral talks, Hirano told reporters that Japan will listen to China’s view on the North’s real intentions.
He expressed his hope to hear from China on the issue at the upcoming South Korea-China-Japan summit in Beijing on Saturday.
