A group of South and North Korean officials will jointly inspect industrial complexes in China and Vietnam for eleven days starting Saturday.

South Korea’s delegation of inspectors left the nation for Qingdao where it will join North Korean inspectors.

The joint delegation, comprised of ten officials from each of the two Koreas, will tour industrial parks in Qingdao on Sunday before inspecting complexes in Suzhou and Shenzhen. From Saturday of next week, the group will inspect complexes in Yen Phong, Vietnam.

The Unification Ministry said it hopes the joint delegation’s inspection will help create a consensus between the two Koreas in developing the Gaeseong industrial complex into a competitive industrial park.
