S.Korea’s OECD Economic Indicator Tops 100 for 3 Months

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) says that South Korea’s composite leading indicator (CLI) has topped 100 for three consecutive months.

According to the OECD, South Korea’s CLI stood at 100-point-two in August, 100-point-six in September and 100-point-nine in October.

South Korea has seen its CLI improve for 12 straight months since November of last year.

The OECD composite leading indicator is designed to provide early signs of turning points between expansions and slowdowns of economic activity.

A reading above 100 means a country is experiencing economic expansion.
