Épée, Foil, Sabre.. What's the difference?

South Korean fencer Sangyoung PARK brought home a surprise gold medal in the men's individual épée at the Rio Olympics on August 10 (Korea time).

This is the second men's individual fencing gold for South Korea. Young-Ho KIM won the first one in 2000 in the men's individual foil at the Sydney Olympics. It's also the fourth Olympic fencing gold for South Korea, following women's individual sabre gold and men's team sabre gold won at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

So South Korea now holds gold medals in all three fencing forms - épée, foil and sabre. But how do these forms differ from one another? Here are some of the major differences.
