The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 56-point-80 points, or two-point-38 percent, on Tuesday to close at two-thousand-332-point-59.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 24-point-27 points, or two-point-80 percent, to close at 842-point-72.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened seven won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-165-point-zero won.
