S. Korea Reports 431 New COVID-19 Cases

South Korea reported 431 new COVID-19 cases on Friday.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(KDCA) said Saturday 403 local transmissions and 28 imported cases were reported throughout Friday, raising the country's accumulated caseload to 74-thousand-692. 

The daily increase is 85 cases more than Thursday's 346. 

Of the new cases, Seoul has added 127 infections, Gyeonggi Province 117 and southern port city Busan 33. 

Nine more deaths have been reported raising the death toll to one-thousand-337. The fatality rate stands at one-point-79 percent.

South Korea's third wave of the outbreak, which began in mid-November, has eased in recent days after daily cases peaked at over 12-hundred on December 25.
