North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly laid out the direction of policies and tasks related to inter-Korean and external relations in a party meeting. 

The newspaper of the North’s ruling Workers’ Party, the Rodong Sinmun, reported on Wednesday that Kim attended the second day of the plenary meeting of the party the previous day. 

In the meeting, Kim reportedly indicated the militant tasks to be carried out by the People's Army and the munitions industry this year.

He is said to have also specified the direction of future action to be taken by the sector in charge of affairs with South Korea and that in charge of external affairs. 

However, the report did not provide details of the policy direction on the military tasks and inter-Korean matters.
