Saturday will see cloudy skies with snow or rain falling in eastern Gangwon Province and the northeastern areas of North Gyeongsang Province.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), due to the influx of cold air currents, two to five centimetres of snow are expected in mountainous regions and one to three centimetres in east coast areas of the two provinces.
Small amounts of rain are also forecast in Jeolla Province from late afternoon through the evening.
On Sunday, cloudy skies will continue nationwide with precipitation forecast along the east coast in the early hours.
Sunday morning lows will be three to five degrees lower than Saturday, ranging from minus five to plus five degrees Celsius.
Afternoon highs will be similar, ranging from five to 12 degrees.
