The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose five-point-84 points, or zero-point-26 percent, on Wednesday, closing the day at two-thousand-215-point-22.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell however, losing eleven-point-45 points, or one-point-64 percent, to close at 685-point-34.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened 16-point-four won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-410-point-one won.
