New COVID-19 Cases at 23,612

New COVID-19 cases dipped below 25-thousand on Saturday after rising on-week in the wake of the Lunar New Year holiday.
 
According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, 23-thousand-612 infections were reported throughout Friday including 48 from overseas.
 
The tally is eight-thousand fewer than the previous day and down by some four-thousand from a week earlier.
 
The country's cumulative caseload stands at over 30 million.
 
The number of critically ill hospitalized patients is down by 71 from the previous day at 410. Friday added 29 deaths raising the death toll to 33-thousand-361. The fatality rate remains at zero-point-11 percent.
