New daily COVID-19 cases registered in the 13-thousands on Wednesday.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said that 13-thousand-134 infections were reported throughout Tuesday, including 15 from overseas, bringing the total caseload to over 30-million-798-thousand.

The tally increased by 58 from a week ago. It rose by over one-thousand from a day ago and two weeks ago, but did not surge since the mask mandate for public transportation was lifted last Monday.

The number of hospitalized patients in intensive care is down by one from a day ago to 150.

Tuesday added 14 deaths to raise the death toll to 34-thousand-245. The overall fatality rate remains at zero-point-11 percent.
