Tell us about your "untact" life (or life without direct human contact).

How to Enter the Contest

  • 01Identify the topic and questions. (There are a total of 3 questions.)
  • 02Prepare the answer to the question for all participants in Korean.
  • 03Choose one question from Set 1 and Set 2, respectively, and prepare the answers in Korean.
  • 04Organize your answers into a Korean script using all three questions.
  • 05Film your Korean Language video using the script based on your answers.
  • 06You must appear in the video yourself.
  • 07Submit your script and video according to the following instructions.

  • - Do you think an "untact" lifestyle (or lifestyle without direct human contact) helps you become closer to others or draws you further away from others? Think about which is true for your situation and tell us why.


  • Question Set 1 (choose 1)
  • - What is an "untact" (or non face-to-face) service that you use frequently, and why do you enjoy using it?
  • - What is an "untact" (or non face-to-face) technology that is used the most in your country?

  • Question Set 2 (choose 1)
  • - What are some advantages of working remotely or taking online classes? What do you think are the disadvantages or problems?
  • - Are there any memorable episodes you experienced while communicating with people through social media?
  • - Tell us freely about your "untact" life (or life without direct human contact).

Eligibility

  • - Foreign nationals living outside of Korea are eligible. (Naturalized Koreans and foreign nationals of Korean descendents are not eligible.)
  • - Participants residing in Europe must be 16 years of age or older, or over the minimum age set by their respective home countries.

How to enter the contest

  • 01Prepare a script and video according to the contest details
  • 02Upload the video on your Youtube account. Make sure to name the file <KBS Korean Contest 2020_Your Name> in English. (ex: KBS Korean Contest 2020_Elin Lopez)
  • 03Submit the link to your YouTube video and the script of your Korean speech to our video contest website.

Please note before submitting

  • - The total length of the video must be between 1 and 3 minutes.
  • - The speech script must be written by the participant.
  • - The participant's face must be recognizable on the video.
  • - A script or a video previously submitted to other contests cannot be used.
  • - A script or a video will be disqualified if found to have entered another contest. If such a fact is revealed after the script or video in question has won a prize, the accolades will be revoked.
  • - The video’s YouTube URL and the Korean script in its entirety must be submitted to the website at the time of application.
  • - Playing music, having another video playing in the background or using screen captures of TV programs such as dramas in the submitted video without permission is prohibited. Videos containing any of the above will be disqualified.
