VOA: N. Korea Vows to Stop Unannounced Missile Tests

North Korean authorities have reportedly vowed to stop conducting unannounced missile tests during a recent meeting with officials from the International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO).
Voice of America(VOA) reported on Friday that high-ranking ICAO officials visited Pyongyang between May seventh and ninth for a meeting with representatives of the North's General Administration of Civil Aviation.
ICAO spokesman William Raillant-Clark told the news outlet that the North promised to halt unannounced missile tests and abstain from other activities which pose a threat to commercial aircraft.
Until now, North Korea has conducted ballistic missile tests without providing advance warnings to relevant international organizations, including the ICAO and the International Maritime Organization.
