Moon Vows to Continue Cross-Border Exchanges

President Moon Jae-in vowed to do his best for inter-Korean exchanges to continue.
Moon invited South Korean artists who performed in Pyongyang last month to the presidential office on Friday. Over lunch, he told them that while watching joint inter-Korean performances last month, he questioned why the two Koreas were in a dispute.
He also said that he realized the immense power of culture, arts and sports through observing cross-border performances and the joint inter-Korean women's ice hockey team during the PyeongChang Olympics.
He said it is politics that bring about those exchanges but it is the inherent power of culture, arts and sports that move people's hearts and create touching moments.
President Moon said the fact that the leaders of the two Koreas also watched the cultural performances may have magnified the emotional significance.
He promised best efforts to continue such cross-border exchanges.
