Seoul Conveys to Washington Its Stance on Denuclearizing Korean Peninsula

The presidential office says that it has conveyed to the U.S. its stance on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
A senior presidential official told KBS on Tuesday that while he cannot go into details, Seoul explained to Washington its position and opinions about denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.
The official also said that South Korea and the U.S. are holding consultation on nearly a daily basis.
On the delay of the first telephone conversation between the leaders of South and North Korea through the recently established hotline, the official said the phone talks will take place when the right time comes.
Another presidential official denied speculations that the North is reluctant to engage in the phone talks, saying the fact that the phone call hasn't been made yet proves that sufficient working-level communication is under way between the two sides.
