President Moon Jae-in met with top U.S. officials at the White House on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming summit between Washington and Pyongyang. 

In the meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and National Security Adviser John Bolton, Moon urged U.S. security and foreign affairs officials to continue their preparations to ensure the summit will be held successfully. 

Vowing Seoul's full support for a successful summit, Moon stressed that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's will for a successful summit is clear in spite of the recent changes in the North's attitude. 

Moon said that the positive developments on the Korean Peninsula are offering an "unprecedented, must-not-be-missed" opportunity for both Seoul and Washington to realize denuclearization and settle peace in the region.
