S. Korean Journalists Arrive in N. Korea to Cover Nuke Site Dismantling

Eight South Korean journalists have arrived in North Korea to witness the planned dismantling of North Korea’s nuclear test site.
CNN reporter Will Ripley, who arrived in the North a day earlier with other invited foreign journalists, tweeted about the the arrival of the South Korean journalists in Wonsan on Wednesday afternoon.
A South Korean government plane carrying the press corps left Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province at around 12:30 p.m.
After arriving in Wonsan, the South Korean journalists were expected to join the other foreign press corps and head to the Punggye-ri test site on a special train on Wednesday afternoon.
The North was known to have kept the foreign journalists on standby in Wonsan for hours citing bad weather conditions.
The journalists are expected to arrive at the Punggye-ri site on Thursday morning as the travel by train takes around 12 hours.
After covering the dismantling of the site initially slated to be held between Wednesday and Friday, the journalists, including the South Koreans, are expected to return to their respective countries via Beijing.
