N. Korea Says 'Still Willing to Talk to US'

North Korea says it is still willing to talk with the United States in the wake of U.S. President Donald Trump's surprise decision to cancel the planned summit with the North Korean leader.
North Korea's Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan said on Friday that his country is still willing to talk with the U.S. to resolve issues any time and in any format.
In a statement carried by the North's state-run Korean Central News Agency(KCNA), the vice minister said that North Korea has been preparing for the summit, which had been drawing keen attention from around the world.
Kim also said that Trump's cancellation of the summit runs against the international community's wishes for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and across the world.
He said that the North's commitment to do everything for peace and stability for the world and the Korean Peninsula remains unchanged, and it is always willing to give time and opportunity to the U.S. with an open mind.
