WSJ: US Mulls Additional Sanctions on N. Korea

The United States is reportedly mulling slapping additional sanctions on North Korea after President Donald Trump canceled his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The Wall Street Journal(WSJ) quoted a U.S. government official as saying the Trump administration is considering imposing dozens of new sanctions on the North early next week.
Hours after canceling a summit with Kim slated to be held in Singapore on June 12th, Trump said he is “waiting” to see if Kim will again “engage in constructive dialogue,” keeping the door open for talks.
However, Trump said until that happens, tough sanctions on Pyongyang would continue, adding that the U.S.-led “maximum pressure campaign is continuing.”
