Seoul: US, N. Korea Back in Dialogue Mode

South Korean Unification Minister Minister Cho Myoung-gyon Cho says North Korea and the United States are back in what he called a full-fledged dialogue mode Wednesday.
Speaking to European diplomats stationed in Seoul, Cho described the abrupt cancellation of the planned Singapore summit as a “temporary up and down” stemming from lack of mutual understanding.
He said since the top leaders of both countries are directly involved in the negotiations in top-down manners, the possibility is growing they will find a middle ground.
While it will not be easy for Washington and Pyongyang to narrow their differences, Cho said South Korea still sees a successful deal as possible.
