Kang, Pompeo Hold Phone Talks on US-N. Korea Negotiations
Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha discussed U.S.-North Korea contacts on the phone Friday with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Pompeo shared results of his talks held with senior North Korean official Kim Yong-chol.
He also briefed Seoul on the outcome of working-level contacts under way between Washington and Pyongyang at the Panmunjeom border village on the Korean Peninsula.
The two discussed ways to maintain the current dialogue momentum and achieve complete denuclearization and lasting peace on the peninsula.
