ABC: US, N. Korea Consider Turning Potential Agreements into Treaty
U.S. broadcaster ABC said on Sunday that a landmark peace treaty may be on the table during next week's North Korea-U.S. summit.
Republican U.S. Senator Jim Risch says Trump is committed to working toward a treaty, which he says will be good not only for the U.S. but for the North, as the regime can rely on the fact that it is not an executive agreement that can be overturned under another administration.
Earlier, Pompeo said in a Senate hearing that any deal with the North will be submitted to the U.S. Congress to be ratified as a treaty.
