The unified Korean women’s ice hockey team has lost to Japan 4-1 in their final collaboration at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

During the final Group B preliminary round matchup at the Kwandong Hockey Center in Gangneung on Wednesday, Randi Heesoo Greeffin managed to score a goal against the ninth-ranked Japanese team and helped the Korean team avoid a third consecutive shutout loss.

Four North Koreans played alongside 18 South Koreans during the game that packed the stands.

Although the unified Korean team has failed to advance to the playoffs, it will stay on to compete in classification games to determine fifth to eighth place, which begin on Sunday.
