The South Korean women’s curling team clinched first place in the round robin stage with an easy win over Olympic Athletes from Russia(OAR) at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

The South Korean team beat OAR 11-2 at the Gangneung Curling Center on Wednesday to claim its seventh win of the tournament.

Having already qualified for the semi-finals with its 9-6 win against the U.S. on Tuesday, South Korea’s latest victory confirmed it would top the rankings of the round robin stage.

Team Korea started strongly as it raced into a 9-0 lead after the first three ends, and OAR was unable to respond as it eventually gave up the match following the sixth end.

Sweden and Great Britain also qualified for the semi-finals on Wednesday as they defeated China and Canada respectively.
