Ivanka Trump Arrives in S. Korea, Aims to Reaffirm Commitment to Ally

U.S. President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, has arrived in South Korea for a four-day trip.
 
The White House senior adviser is leading the American delegation to the closing ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics set for Sunday.
 
The delegation also includes U.S. Senator James Risch and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
 
Upon her arrival at Incheon International Airport Friday afternoon, Ivanka said she came to reaffirm the the U.S.' "strong and enduring commitment" to the South Korean people
 
She said it is a great honor for her to visit South Korea with the U.S. delegation, and they are very excited to attend the Winter Olympic Games to cheer for Team USA.
 
She also expressed thanks for the kind welcome, saying she’s looking forward to several wonderful days in the country.
 
Trump will start her itinerary by having dinner with President Moon Jae-in at the traditional wooden hanok house, Sangchungjae, within the presidential office on Friday.
 
The venue is used to receive foreign dignitaries and is where Moon and President Trump had tea when he visited South Korea last November.
 
The U.S. government said Ivanka Trump doesn't plan to meet with North Korean officials or defectors during her trip to South Korea.
