The North Korean cheering squad will return home after a 19-day stay in South Korea for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

About 230 North Korean cheerleaders will depart their accommodation in Inje, an adjacent city of Gangneung, the sub-host city of the games on Monday.

They will return to the North via the Inter-Korean Transit Office on the western border, along with North Korean journalists and officials of the North's National Olympic Committee.

The cheering squad arrived in South Korea on February 7th following an agreement reached last month during high-level inter-Korean talks.

The cheerleaders attended North Korean athletes' games and the joint inter-Korean ice hockey team's games, as well as some South Koreans athletes' matches.
