- S.Korean Shooters Win Gold in Guangzhou

South Korea has won its first gold medal on the second day of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
The team of Jin Jong-oh, Lee Dae-myung and Lee Sang-do earned 1,679 points to win the gold medal in the men’s 50-meter pistol team shooting event, defeating China which took second with 1,671 points.
Jin Jong-oh won the silver medal in the men's 5-meter pistol individual final, losing to China's Pu Qifeng.
Triathlete Jang Yun-jung won the bronze medal in the women’s individual event with the record of two hours, seven minutes and 53 seconds.
Seven female South Korean swimmers including Jeong Da-rae and Back Su-yeon will compete in the women’s 50-meter breaststroke individual final event Saturday evening.
Female judoka Jeong Gyeong-mi will participate in the women’s 78-kilogram final event while male judoka Hwang Hee-tae will play in the men’s 100-kilogram final event.
Today, the national baseball team will face off with Taiwan in its first game at the Guangzhou Asian Games. Also, the South Korean soccer team will hold its final preliminary match with Palestine over a ticket to the round of 16.
