S.Korea Wins More Gold in Shooting at Guangzhou Games
South Korea has added three gold medals in shooting at the Guangzhou Asian Games.

On the seventh day of the sporting event, Park Byeong-taek scored 586 in the men’s 25-meter center fire pistol event to win the gold medal over Liu Yadong of China, who put up a final score of 585.

The team of Han Jin-Seop, Kim Jong-hyeon, and Lee Hyeon-tae won the men’s 50-meter rifle three positions team event. Han also won the singles gold in the same event, his third gold medal of the Games.

Kim Ga-yeong has secured at least a silver-medal finish after advancing to the finals in the women’s eight-ball pool singles.

South Korean swimmer Park Tae-hwan is aiming to win his fourth gold medal of this year’s Games during the men’s 15-hundred meter freestyle on Thursday. If he wins, he will be the first Korean swimmer to win four golds in an international swimming meet.

Choe Hye-ra and Nam Yu-seon advanced to the finals in the women’s 200-meter individual medley.

South Korea is currently ranked second after China with 32 gold, 25 silver and 36 bronze medals.
