S.Korea Adds 6 Gold Medals at the Asian Games
South Korea has added six gold medals in archery, roller sports, modern pentathlon, the long-jump and bowling at the Guangzhou Asian Games.

On the 13th day of the sporting event, Kim Woo-jin beat India’s Tarundeep Rai seven-to-three in men's individual archery to win the gold. It was Kim’s second gold medal of the games following the men’s team event. South Korea won all the archery gold medals awarded at the Asian Games for the second consecutive Asiad.

Woo Hyo-sook won the gold medal in the women's ten-thousand-meter points and elimination race with 31 points. Son Geun-seong, meanwhile, grabbed the gold medal in the men’s ten-thousand-meter points and elimination race with 26 points. Compatriot Choi Gwang-ho took the silver with a score of 25.

In modern pentathlon, South Korea won the gold in the men's team race with 22,232 points, beating out China.

In men's long-jump, Kim Duk-hyeon won the gold with a record of 8.11 meters.

In the men's masters' bowling event, Choi Bok-eum won the gold medal, bringing his total number of gold medals to three at the games.

Lee Jae-seong, in the 84-kilogram men’s freestyle wrestling, has secured at least a silver by advancing into the finals.

The women's field hockey team lost to China in a penalty shoot-out, taking home the silver medal.

South Korea's women's squash team took home the bronze medal.

The men's basketball team won against the Philippines 74-66 to advance to the semi-finals.

The women's volleyball team won against Japan 3-0, advancing to the semi-finals.

South Korea is in second place in the medal rankings with 70 gold medals.
