Nation Adds Gold in Women's 100M Hurdle
The nation has added a gold medal in the women's 100-meter hurdle at the ongoing Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.

On the 14th day of the Games on Thursday, Lee Yeon-kyung clocked 13.23 seconds in the women's 100-meter hurdle final, winning the third gold for South Korea in track and field at the Asiad.

The men's soccer team won a bronze, defeating Iran 4-3, while Ahn Tae-eun and Lee Ji-hwan added two bronze medals in karate.

Wrestler Kim Hyung-joo also garnered a bronze in the women's 48-kilogram freestyle event.

The Korean basketball team, which is hoping to bring home the Asian Games gold for the first time in eight years, defeated Japan 55-51. South Korea on Friday will face China in the final match for the gold.

The Korean women's handball team, meanwhile, failed to defend its Asian Games title, losing to Japan 29-28.

South Korea currently ranks second in the Games with 72 gold medals.
