Ahn Cheol-soo Wins 3rd People's Party Primary

Former cochaiman Ahn Cheol-soo of the minor opposition People’s Party has achieved another landslide victory in the party’s primary in the country’s southeastern region, further cementing his lead among its presidential hopefuls.
 
At the primary held in Busan on Tuesday for voters in Busan, Ulsan and South Gyeongsang Province, the Busan native secured 74-point-49 percent of over ten-thousand votes.
 
Former chairman Sohn Hak-kyu of the major opposition Democratic Party was a distant second, winning 17-point-49 percent, while Deputy National Assembly Speaker Park Joo-sun garnered eight-point-03 percent.
 
Ahn, who also won the two preceding primaries held over the weekend, has collected 67-thousand-292 cumulative votes so far, or 65-point-58 percent. Sohn and Park have won 22-point-88 percent and 11-point-54 percent of the cumulative votes, respectively.
