To Enliven Korea: Chase Your Dreams and Take on Challenges!

2016-09-30

Korean youth are living in difficult times with the unemployment rate higher than ever before. With the youth unemployment rate hitting over 12%, Korea’s youth are called the “generation of abandonment” because they have to give up on everything from falling in love, getting married to raising a family because of the difficult economic situation.

But, thanks to youth taking risks and going down that path that no one has dared gone before, new roads are being paved. From a young woman traveling all the way to England with the dream of making multi-functional umbrellas to export to the world, to a young businessman who started off with the small idea of cleaning up his neighborhood trashcans now installing his smart and efficient solar-powered waste management system in different areas of the world…

On KBS World Radio’s Special Broadcast, “To Enliven Korea: Chase Your Dreams and Take on Challenges” we meet Korean youth who are taking risks and traveling the path untaken to follow after their dreams.
