After experiencing the highs of watching his first debut releases hit #1, and the lows of being swept up in a nasty plagiarism scandal, rookie singer Roy Kim will be taking a break to focus on his studies.According to Kim's agency, the young singer will leave Korea on August 25th, just in time to make it for the fall semester at Georgetown University. He had been accepted earlier, and took a temporary leave of absence to compete in Super Star K. However, the prestigious institution would not allow him to extend his leave any further, asking that he return for the next semester starting in September. Should he not, Kim would have to give up his acceptance to the school.Kim's rep reassured fans that while he continues his studies, the singer/songwriter will continue to work on music on the side.
