Korean singer Rain has once again proven his status as a top-notch Korean artist as he was invited as a VIP guest to one of America's biggest music festivals of the year, the MTV Video Music Awards 2005, held at Awards American Airlines Arena, Miami, Florida on August 28.
Rain has shined receiving several awards in Asian MTV Awards. The 23-year-old singer is the only Asian singer who received an invitation to the 22nd festival, this year.
Hosted by hip-hop artist Diddy, the event was attended by Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Missy Elliott, U2, and Coldplay and The Killers. To incorporate the host's party style, the event used a white carpet instead of a red carpet for artists to walk on in the ceremony.
The show will be aired by MTV Korea at 6 p.m. on September 24, but beforehand, the program introducing Rain's participation in the festival will show at 5:30 p.m. on September 20.
