Shin Seung-hun sings a theme of Korean drama aired in Japan
“Aeshimga,” or “Song of Affection” sung by Shin Seung-hun was introduced as the background music for a Korean television drama series “Damo” receiving a favorable response from the audience. Currently, “Damo,” which is about the adventures and love stories of a woman detective of the Joseon Dynasty is being aired on NHK's BS1 channel and steadily gaining popularity. “Aeshimga” has also been attracting great attention from Japanese fans. In particular, since a music video featuring video clips of the drama was introduced on a Japanese cable music channel, general audiences as well as fans of the drama have expressed their enjoyment of the song. Shin wrote “Aeshimga” in 2003, saying he was inspired by the TV drama “Damo.” Upon hearing that Shin was a fan of the drama, Lee Jae-kyu, the director of “Damo,” helped produce the music video by providing the songwriter with key video clips from the drama.
