Members of the popular boy band Super Junior were involved in a car accident in the early hours of Thursday, April 19th.
Members Lee Teuk, Shin-dong, Eun-hyuk and Kyu-hyun were on their way home after wrapping up a broadcast of their KBS Cool FM show “Super Junior’s Kiss The Radio,”when the van they were traveling fell over shortly after midnight.
The van reportedly hit the guard rails and tipped over near Dong-jak Bridge and slid about 30 meters along Olympic Highway in Seoul.
The 4 members of the group plus their manager suffered from minor face and leg injuries and were taken to the hospital. Kyu-hyun is receiving treatment for injuries to his chest.
The police have concluded the cause of the accident as reckless driving. No other parties were involved in the accident.
News Update: Kyu-hyun’s condition appears to be more severe than previously thought. Kyu-hyun is suffering from broken ribs, which punctured and bruised his lungs. He is currently being treated in a hospital and will be observed for the next few days.
His father and officials of Super Junior’s agency have reported that Kyu-hyun’s condition has improved a little, but that they will have to watch over him carefully.
The other members who received minor injuries from the accident are doing well, but will take a few weeks off to recover.
