The Baek-sang Art Awards, which has taken place annually since 1965, honors film, TV and theatre. The Awards ceremony includes 17 categories and was attended by the biggest names in Korean show business.

The MBC drama “Jumong” and the movie “Tajja” won the grand prizes in TV and film, respectively.

The movie “The Host” and the KBS 1TV’s “Seoul 1945” won the Best Film and Best TV Show award.
“Tajja” was also nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Actor. “Jumong” was nominated for Best TV Show, Best Producer, Best Scenario, Best Actress and Best Actor.
Kim Myung-min won Best Actor in a TV Show for his role in the medical drama “White Tower” and Son Ye-jin won Best Actress for the SBS drama “Yeonae Shidae.” Son Ye-jin won the Best Newcomer Award 4 years ago.
Superstar Rain (I’m A Cyborg, But That’s Ok) and Park Shi-yeon (The Fox Family) won for Best Newcomers in film.
Park Hae-jin (The Infamous Chil Sisters) and Go Ara (Snowflower) won for Best Newcomers in TV.
Lee Jun-ki, Lee Bum-soo, Han Ye-seul and Kim Tae-hee won the most popular male and female star award at the 43rd Baek-sang Art Awards.
